BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

Mojo’s Safe Haven is not a finished sanctuary yet.

It’s a mission in motion.

We are building this the right way, from the ground up, before a single dog steps onto the property. That means securing land, planning infrastructure, establishing legal and financial foundations, and creating a model that will last for decades.

If you believe dogs should not lose their lives because shelters run out of space…

You can help right now.

Where We Are Today

Mojo’s Safe Haven is in the foundation phase.

  • Mojo’s Safe Haven is a registered nonprofit corporation in North Carolina
  • Board of directors established
  • Corporate bank account opened
  • Website phase one completed with online donation capability
  • Business plan established and development strategy in progress
  • Active land search in progress with realtor support
  • Personally visited, reviewed, and evaluated multiple potential sanctuary properties
  • Off-grid power, water, and wastewater systems researched and evaluated
  • Phase one sanctuary plan in progress

We are intentionally building the structure before intake.

No rushed decisions. No shortcuts.

We are building MSH for permanence, so every dog here has safety, stability, and a home for life.

My Personal Commitment

I have personally committed $100,000 of my own money toward building phase one of Mojo’s Safe Haven.

I’m doing this because it is deeply personal, and I believe we can make a difference and save lives.

I’m fully committed to this, emotionally and financially, and I’m looking for people who believe in this mission to be part of it.

What We Need Right Now

The work starts long before the first rescue.

There are real ways to help right now.

Founding Supporters

Every lasting nonprofit begins with a small group of people who believe before it exists.

PHASE ONE

Immediate need:

  • Review incoming land listings and help evaluate whether properties are a good fit for MSH

Additional founding support needed:

  • Community outreach and public awareness support
  • Partner outreach: veterinarians, vet techs, and other professionals
  • Plan fencing, shelter, utilities, dog areas, and the core MSH sanctuary layout
  • Plan veterinary and recovery spaces
  • Plan and create sustainable off-grid systems

Whether you help once or stay involved as we grow, you become part of the foundation this sanctuary stands on.

Professional & Advisory Help

MSH needs professional guidance now and long-term relationships with people who may be willing to step into active professional roles as the sanctuary moves from planning into buildout and operations.

We are actively looking to connect with individuals experienced in:

  • Veterinary services and animal care guidance
  • Land development and zoning
  • Construction and site planning
  • Nonprofit law and compliance
  • Accounting and financial oversight
  • Grant writing and funding strategy
  • Off-grid systems and sustainable infrastructure

If you have professional experience in any of these areas and believe in this mission, we want to hear from you.

MSH is not housing dogs yet, but volunteer, foster, and adoption programs are part of the plan.

Those programs will open once the land, safety systems, and care structure are ready.

Why Early Involvement Matters

The first supporters shape everything

You’re not just contributing to a rescue.

You’re helping build a place where dogs will live out their lives in peace, not cycle through a system.

This will be a no-kill, forever care sanctuary.

Off-grid. Sustainable. Built for healing.

And it will only exist because people like you chose to stand behind it before it was finished.

How You Can Help Today
